Gift giving should not be a chore. But sometimes, when you have multiple children that get invited to multiple birthday parties every year for children you have never met, it can become a bit of a chore. There have been many times where we have had to stop at Target or some other dreaded super store to pick up a birthday gift ON THE WAY to a party! I have also ordered late on Amazon and the delivery does not arrive on time and we show up empty handed until I can send it into school a few days later. So, yes, although gift giving should be something we do out of love and appreciation for a person, more often than not it is out of obligation and dread. Givzie is on a mission to change that and to take the good intentions we have with gift giving and put those efforts towards something that can actually inspire a child, lift them up or provide them with an experience they really want, instead of just get more “stuff”. Which by the way, all of that stuff ends up somewhere, usually the landfill in 10 years. So let’s change the way we give together. Let’s say no to giving gifts that end up in landfills and yes to giving gifts that fulfill dreams and let’s give gifts that inspire.
