What a year this week has been! With Covid-19 shutting down small businesses, closing the doors of many restaurants, public parks, zoos, museums and practically every place we go to gather, the feeling of the unknown can be daunting and overwhelming. I have gone through an emotional roller coaster this past week starting with overwhelming fear and anxiety, shifting into panic, then rolling up into sadness and dismay, inching towards acceptance, rising to confidence and now I am ready to be the leader I know I am. I am ready to continue my mission in reducing waste, increasing meaningful gift giving, connecting families with experiences and things they may not otherwise choose. So, I have been thinking, “How can I help?” I decided the best thing for Givzie to do is to support families in this difficult time who still want to give a great gift to their kid for their birthday during Covid-19. So! Givzie will contribute $50 towards 5 selected Givzie’s that have a value of $250 or more. Consider supporting your local art center by purchasing classes for the summer or fall as a gift, or commit to purchasing a membership to your favorite institution when things calm down. Maybe now is the perfect time for the 8,000 piece Lego set with all of that free time kids have! Or maybe a new bike is perfect for getting fresh air and sunshine.

Comment with the gift idea and amount, when your kids birthday is, and why they should be selected for the $50 Givzie contribution.
Givzie will review all submissions and selec 5 winners on March 23rd. You do not have to win in order to set up a Givzie. Anyone can set up a Givzie at anytime. Just register, log in and click “start a Givzie” This giveaway is a way for Givzie to give back to our communities and encourage families to think creatively and support small business if they can.
